How To Create Your Heart’s Desire

How to Create your Heart's DesireFew people believe they can have whatever they want in life. It often gets turned into whatever they think they can get. It’s no wonder only a few of us actually succeed in fulfilling our heart’s desire.

Most people are buffeted by challenges and losses of some kind or other. Or, they have never developed a strong enough self-image, as a child. If they dared to step out of the mold, they were quickly corralled back in. Others were victims of the old saying, “Children should be seen and not heard”. It could have been any number of experiences that deeply imprinted themselves in their child’s mind at the time.

Learning To Survive

As young children, no matter how wonderful their world was, they did not have all the resources at their disposal. And so they coped the best way they knew how, to survive and move on. And, most people have been very successful at getting through childhood traumas and hurts.

The price paid however, is they just want to live a regular life. Without upsetting any major routines or loved ones, they hope to make it safely to retirement and eventually to death. But where’s the joy in that?

Dare anyone ask for more? If the answer is yes, then you need to ask another question. What kind of ‘more’ does your heart yearn for. Forget asking your mind for the moment, as it will likely just want to increase its pleasure or avoid pain. And, it got you into this predicament in the first place.

Entrepreneurs, on the other hand, always want to create more. However, they too, can still fall into the trap that most other people fall into when the day-to-day strain of living is allowed to build up. As Cicero said, “The price of freedom is eternal vigilance”.

Ancient Secrets Of Success

Wise people since ancient times have learned how to bypass the security guardof the mind for this important step. Then once the heart has taken command, the mind is called on as an able helper in fulfilling the desires of the heart. It makes a good servant. But only the heart is the true master, as Tulshi Sen reflects on throughout his book, Ancient Secrets of Success for Today’s World.

Also it is best to keep this stage private and not share it with others. Families and friends are renown for sabotaging dreams before they even get formed as seeds. Then the damage is done. It’s not out of spite, but out of genuine worry that you will fail. And there is no better way to create failure than to fear it, is there? They may also secretly fear you will succeed, change and no longer need them. And most people hate change. It takes them right out of their comfort zone.

Now, when you manage to begin the required inner work, it will probably trigger a whole host of reactions, excuses and interference from your own mind. After all, you are disturbing your mind’s peace as well. So, you would be wise to begin with small things at first. This way you can train your mind to take direction from your heart, rather than letting it stifle your true desires. I just love the quote of James Allen, “He thinks in secret and then it comes to pass”.

Courage and Perseverence

Most important, it’s crucial never to give up. If you have been diligently doing this process for a while and then become discouraged, it means you are probably getting closer than you think. Do you remember the saying, “It’s always darkest before the dawn”? This stage is often your ego’s last ditch effort to keep it from losing control over you. The ego wants to sting success just as you reach for it.

By persevering, this process will strength you further. You will be able to feed your heart more and more, day by day. Each genuine step, when taken, will move you in the direction of your heart’s desire. Now that is a life worth living.

Entrepreneur, What Do You Really Want?

Entrepreneur, What Do You Really Want?It takes great courage to go for what you really want. And entrepreneurs seem to have plenty of it. Yet despite great intentions, most fall short of the mark.

Intentions can get tainted by what you don’t have or haven’t yet been able to secure. And for many, 2008 has been an extremely challenging year.

It’s no wonder discouragement insidiously seeped into our awareness. And we’ve all had plenty of external economic indicators bombarding us about the hard times ahead. But if we now feel we can’t have what we truly want, we’ve indeed fallen into a dangerous self-deceptive trap.

Getting Out Of Our Self-Imposed Traps

The way out is to go deep inside the core of our being and allow our hearts to speak. Entrepreneurs are courageous, so we can do this. I’m reminded that the word courage comes from the French word ‘coeur’, meaning heart. Courageous people move into the world with, in and through their hearts. We often use the expression, ‘take heart’, in other words, be encouraged.

There’s no better time, than when we find ourselves deeply challenged, to look at what’s really important for our lives and businesses. I can think of no better way to help us search our inner void, where all our treasures are found, than be inspired through the words of Tulshi Sen, author of Ancient Secrets of Success for Today’s World. He shows us how we can embrace the New Year with courage and choose the life of our own design in his audiocast, Tulshi Sen’s New Years Message . Let this be our Year of Transformation.
