Unless we, as entrepreneurs, understand the inner purpose of our business, how can we move forward to create the success we desire?
Beyond Logic…
Understanding ‘why’ we do what we do, however, is not enough. We must believe in why we do what we do. And when we can begin to believably share our purpose with our target markets, we will start to engage their desire to want what we believe in as well.
The more authentically we can ignite up their imagination, the more effectively and quickly we can attract the innovators. But it’s the early adapters who are the critical influencers and who actually tip the scales of success by sharing with larger groups of people and growing the belief level in the company and its products or services.
Simon Sinek, in his TED Talks presentation, shows us how the Law of Diffusion of Innovation works across most cultural and consumer groups. It starts with a critical mass of people really believing in you, and then moves into the early ‘majority’ of customers who grow your business to a whole new success level. Cool Fire!
Finding happiness is not what you think…
The Internet Marketing world is fraught with so much conflicting information, unmet promises and sometimes even scams. On top of that, many people have gotten stuck at various places in the start-up or building phase. And, most new entrepreneurs have at one time or another felt lost or completely discouraged by their lack of progress. The irony is that once they found their way over a certain obstacle, they often discovered it was some crazy detail or step that was missing…that they had just wasted so much time agonizing over.
Few people believe they can have whatever they want in life. It often gets turned into whatever they think they can get. It’s no wonder only a few of us actually succeed in fulfilling our heart’s desire.
I found this wonderful video snippet from professor Tina Seelig of Stanford University, from her presentation, The Art of Teaching Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

Your want comes out of lack. It forms the embryo of your vision. It triggers your imagination, which is the womb that nurtures your vision to shape what you want to create.
